COPPER COUNT + CUSTOMER ROLL QUARTERS – Are We Still in a Coin Shortage?

Coins Seem to be a Little Harder to Get Again

I was having great luck at my bank last month. Each time I asked, they had plenty of customer-rolled pennies and were happy to sell them to me. A couple of times I decided to wait on getting the coins as I knew I had other videos to make and I allowed my self to assume that things had normalized and would stay that way.

I should know better.

Last week, when I asked, there were no pennies to be had. This week, it was three rolls.
(Plus some quarters for good measure, but I’ve been mostly on about pennies since starting the Copper Count.)

I hope we are not sliding back into the coin shortage, but given the look of things in the short term on the COVID front, I won’t be surprised at all if the doors of my bank slam shut again for a while. It is what it is.

Stay healthy friends. And if you can still get coins, enjoy!
